The role of sexy bimbo in Abbas Mustan’s movie was tailor-made for Mallika Sherawat .

Things haven’t been going smooth for Mallika lately. Following the controversy surrounding her provocative dance performance on New Year’s Eve, the latest buzz is that Mallika has been dropped from Abbas Mustan’s thriller Race which stars some top actors of Bollywood.


The role Mallika was supposed to play was that of a clever and cunning bimbo.

While the reason for Mallika’s departure from the movie is still not known, Sameera Reddy has been roped in as replacement.

This will not just be Sameera’s first film with Abbas Mustan, but also first with her co-stars Saif Ali Khan , Akshaye Khanna and Bipasha Basu .

Interestingly, Sameera is not paired with any male star as every character in the movie is in his or her own ‘Race’ for riches.

On the other hand, Mallika is running short of movies that have her in leading roles. She will be seen in a marginal appearance in Mani Ratnam’s Guru . The same goes for her brief roles in Tamil and Kannada movies.

She does play a big role in Fauj Mein Mauj , but the movie has no star value except her.

Tough times for Mallika, we reckon.
